BENGALURU:A day after the BJP announced its first list of candidates, dissatisfaction among its ticket aspirants came to the fore. Disappointed over not getting ticket to contest from Chikpet segment in the city, BJP city unit spokesperson N R Ramesh openly hit out at Union Minister Ananth Kumar and accused him of blocking his chances of getting the party ticket.

Uday Garudachar is the party’s candidate from Chikpet.“Many BJP leaders, including Sangh Parivar members, were in favour of giving ticket to me, but Ananth Kumar and a few leaders blocked it.  There is no value for honesty and party building in the BJP,’’ said Ramesh, who had joined the BJP from Congress in 2010.

Ramesh, who had earlier exposed many irregularities in various departments, told The New Indian Express that over 60 charges made against the Siddaramaiah government in BJP’s chargesheet were exposed by him.

Later in the evening, BJP state unit president B S Yeddyurappa and senior leaders had called him for a meeting at the party office. After the marathon meeting, Ramesh said, “They have given me some options, which are not feasible.”
