Minor girl raped in K’mal

BERHAMPUR: A minor girl was raped and left unconscious by the accused in Jubaguda under Kotgarh police limits of Kandhamal district on Sunday. Police said the girl was picking dung on the outskirts of the village when a local youth lured her to an isolated place. He forced her to drink some juice. 
After the girl lost her sense, he raped her and fled. As the girl did not return home till late evening, her parents started a search and found her unconscious with torn cloths. They admitted her in Kotgarh hospital and lodged a complaint with police. On regaining her sense, the girl narrated her misery. She is still under treatment, said medical officer Dr Bhanu Prakash Das. Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to nab the accused, said OIC Kulamani rout.
