Annual fundraiser benefits children in Butler County

Rainbows United, Inc. continues to enhance the lives of children with special needs and their families by bringing together community resources and providing customized services.
One of the signature fundraisers for Rainbows is the annual Run/Walk held in Augusta.  This year the officially-timed 5K race and 1 mile walk will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, and will be based at Lincoln Elementary School, 1812 Cron St.
This year’s event will offer fun activities for the entire family and will feature more than 500 people helping make this community event successful.
One hundred percent of sponsorships support children with special needs and their families in Butler County through the following services:
Targeted Case Management, which provides personal assistance in finding and securing with programs, services and financial aid children with special needs and their families; Bright Beginnings, Infant/Toddler Services, which help infants and toddlers with developmental delays play, share, learn, and grow.  Bright Beginnings offers 17 early intervention services.
Rainbows professionals serve children and families in Andover, Augusta, Benton, Cassoday, Douglass, Elbing, El Dorado, Latham, Leo, Potwin, Rose Hill, Towanda, and Whitewater.
