Eamonn Holmes walks off Good Morning Britain suffering COUGHING fit - and doesn't return
EAMONN HOLMES had to leave the Good Morning Britain set this morning after suffering a coughing fit.
Eamonn Holmes, who is standing in for Piers Morgan, walked off the set of Good Morning Britain after suffering a coughing fit this morning.
The presenter was interviewing Julian Clary with co-host Kate Garraway in the last segment of the show when he was forced to apologise for the noise he was making.
He said: "I'm sorry I've got one of these air conditioned coughs."
After a couple of coughs, Eamonn thought it better to just leave the set while he wheezed away.
He added: "I think what I might do is just leave and let you guys (carry on)."
I'm trying to talk while Eamonn is coughing away
Garraway had earlier paused during the interview to ask Holmes: "Are you alright, are you with us?" before Clary joked: "I'm trying to talk while Eamonn is coughing away!"
As he left the set Garraway told him: "Come back, come back and join us," as Clary added: "Will he ever be seen again?"
Garraway later joked to the guest: "That could be it. Are you the man to finish off Eamonn Holmes, Julian, with a strange allergic reaction?"
Holmes did not return to the set before the end of the broadcast.
It’s not the only drama from today’s episode of the hit ITV breakfast show.

Becky Mantin, who is filling in for weather presenters Alex Beresford and Lucy Verasamy, attempted to deliver a promising forecast earlier this morning.
It followed a chat about Mariah Carey and her infamous “diva” ways following the launch of a new advert which pokes fun at her reputation.
Becky explained how the cold start to the day was about to become warmer as the day moved on.
However, the cast and crew of the ITV show could be heard chatting in the background.
Becky Mantin clashed with Eamonn Holmes as she jokingly demanded silence for her report.

Becky laughed she was having a “diva moment” and stormed off set following the chatter behind the camera.
And viewers were in complete hysterics as they watched the scene unfold and flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “Hahahaaaaaaa amazing. #divastrop #diva on the weather this morning. We know it p****s it down anyway. At all times! #gmb best moment so far of the show this year!”
Another added: “Haha #Awkward the weather presenter on @GMB has just stormed off to the rowdy lot of presenters.. Great TV.”
