Datta’s door-to-door campaign in Kadur

Janata Dal (Secular) leader and Kadur MLA Y.S.V. Datta, on Monday launched a door-to-door campaign in his constituency. He has worked out a 20-day plan to reach every house in his constituency before April 29.

The campaign began at Bhoga Nanjundeshwara Swamy Temple at Chowla Hiriyuru in Kadur taluk. He would be visiting around 20 to 22 villages in a day. He has made it a point to go to every household in the constituency during the campaign, which began at Chowla Hiriyur village early in the day. Addressing voters, Mr. Datta said during his tenure he brought funds to the tune of ₹6 crore for the village for building roads. The village would be benefited under the Upper Bhadra project. As many as 33 tanks, including one in the village, would be benefited, he said. He appealed to the voters to support him, considering the development works he brought to the constituency.

Party office-bearers and local leaders accompanied him during the campaign. Last year, the MLA took a march covering over 1,000 km in the constituency.
