Ravindranath laid to rest

Retired Army officer M.B. Ravindranath, was laid to rest at his native village in the district on Monday.

Ravindranath died of a heart attack in Bengaluru on Saturday night.

Ravindranath, who hailed from Holesiregere village in Harihar taluk of Davangere district, had successfully led his battalion during the Kargil war in Dras sector of Kashmir Valley. He had also played a crucial role in capturing back Tololing Hills.

H.S. Shivshankar, Harihal MLA, and other dignitaries attended.
