CHANDRAPUR: Maya is the most popular tigress at the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. She had been the star of the show over the last few months, attracting thousands of fans hoping for a glimpse of her.

However, she was in news also for other reasons recently - a viral footage shot recently by the tourists at the tiger reserve shows the tigress pacing towards the tourists.

People in the vehicle were nervous but remained calm despite knowing that their jeep has no roof or doors.

The driver showed presence of mind and sped up the vehicle as the tigress was planning to jump over the jeep.

Tadoba has gained a reputation as one of the country’s best wildlife destinations, with frequent tiger sightings.
