Gautami Express now from Lingampalli

The South Central Railway on Monday extended both Gautami and Cocanada Express from Secunderabad up to Lingampalli with stoppage at Begumpet from Monday. With these extensions, people from Hi-tech city and Lingampalli areas need not come to Secunderabad station to board these two trains, a release said. The SCR has completed the development of Lingampalli station for stabling, cleaning and watering of coaches of these two trains. New station building, which includes a new Booking Office, Upper Class Waiting Hall, Ladies Waiting Hall, General Waiting Hall and new Foot Over Bridge have been completed for convenience of passengers. These extensions will help in reducing congestion at Secunderabad station during early hours, when trains get held up in the approach of Secunderabad station for want of platform, the release said.

Extension of these two trains will result in decongestion and thereby avoid 15-20 minutes detention to Secunderabad bound trains like Charminar Express, Visakhapatnam Garibrath Express, Visakhapatnam AC express, Jaipur Express and Repalle Express, officials said.
