Metal & mining stocks shine on firm prices

Shares of ten metal and companies rose by 0.43% to 3.75% at 12:48 IST on BSE after price edged higher in the global commodities markets.

(up 3.75%), Vedanta (up 1.3%), Authority of (up 1.53%), (up 0.44%), (up 1.6%), Hindustan (up 1.48%), (up 0.43%), & Power (up 0.95%), (up 3.79%) and NMDC (up 3.02%) edged higher.

The index was up 1.7% at 13,889.33. It outperformed the Sensex, which was up 0.28% at 33,788.54.
