A 37-year-old man has been arrested by city police in connection to a Sunday stabbing on Maple Street.
Wilmington police responded to a stabbing at 1:10 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Maple Street and found a 46-year-old man with a 15-inch cut to his chest, Sgt. Stephanie Castellani said.
The victim was treated on scene, and taken to Christiana Hospital.
Police found Angel Figueroa-Rodriguez Tuesday at the house on Maple Street where the stabbing occurred. He was taken into custody without incident, Castellani said.
Figueroa-Rodriguez is the victim's step-son, Castellani said.
Figueroa-Rodriguez was charged with first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
