Monday witnessed light thunderstorm and moderate rains in the national Capital. It brought the temperature down. The thunderstorm was preceded by a dust storm that reduced the visibility.
With this, the minimum temperature recorded at 23 degrees Celsius, while the maximum hovered around 33 degrees Celsius, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) updated on their website. Relative Humidity (RH) was 66 per cent at 8.30 AM.
The wind speed was at 12 knots. Safdarjung weather station recorded 2.2 mm of rainfall, said a MeT department official.
According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain with thunderstorm activities will also occur on Tuesday in some isolated pockets in Delhi - National Capital Region.
IMD in its weekly weather forecast mentioned that Maximum temperature will oscillate between 30 degree Celsius and 35 degree Celsius and minimum temperature will fluctuate between 20 degree Celsius and 22 degree Celsius.
