Haryana’s first startup incubation centre launched in Panchkula

PANCHKULA: Haryana’s first startup incubation centre was launched at Government College, Sector 1, in Panchkula on Tuesday.
Spread over 3000 square feet, the incubation centre, which was inaugurated by Haryana Education Minister Ram Bills Sharma, will initially cater to the students of four government colleges of the district located in Panchkula, Barwala and Kalka.

Launched by the department of higher education in association with Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SACC), the incubation centre has a sitting capacity of 80 persons and has state-of-the-art infrastructure, a recreational area, mentoring room, mini cafeteria etc., said a SACC official.

Officials said that already 70 students have joined the centre.


The center would be free to use and experts and motivators will guide the students to improve their skills free of cost.


Primary target of this startup incubator is to foster entrepreneurship by using tools like boot camps, workshops, regular classes on entrepreneurship, said SACC officials.


During the inauguration, Gian Chand Gupta, Panchkula MLA, Jyoti Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education department, Haryana, Manipal Dhariwal, SACC president, and Nitin Monga, vice-president, SAAC were also present among others.
