Classic Roseanne episodes are headed to Paramount.
Reruns of the series arrive Tuesday, April 17 with a marathon starting from 9 a.m. ET and ending at 8 p.m. ET. The marathon will feature episodes centering around David (Johnny Galecki) and Darlene's (Sara Gilbert) relationship, leading up to a new episode of the revival which will also focus on the former high school sweethearts.
"Darlene v. David," slated to air Tuesday, April 17 at 8/7c on ABC, sees Galecki reprising the role of David for his only appearance in the new season. David shows up unexpectedly for his daughter Harris' (Emma Kenney) birthday after being absent from her life for years. His sudden arrival will Darlene to re-examine their relationship.
The Roseanne Reboot Wants To Make America Talk Again
The reboot, which picks up two decades after the original series finale, revealed that couple married and had two children before splitting up again. It's unclear why they broke up and why David has not been around but it looks like the sitcom will address those questions in the April 17 episode.
Meanwhile, Paramount will air old episodes of Roseanne in a weekly two-hour block starting Wednesday, April 18. Four back-to-back episodes will run weekdays from 4-6 p.m. ET on the network.
The new season of Roseanne airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.
