CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Queens Road in Myers Park is closed in both directions while crews work to contain a gas leak after a driver crashed into a pole Tuesday morning, knocking out power to more than 200 people in the area.

Officials told Channel 9 that a vehicle slammed into a utility pole around 1 a.m., knocking out the power.

When crews began work to fix the damaged pole, they accidentally clipped a gas line.
