It's been way too long since we've had Sarah Shahi on our television screens, but the dry spell is almost over. Shahi's new series Reverie finally has a premiere date.

NBC will kick off its summer programming with Reverie on Wednesday, May 30 at 10/9c following American Ninja Warrior. The premiere date is a relief for Shahi's fans, who have waited for Reverie to premiere since it was picked up to series in May of 2017. Though it was one of the first pick ups NBC made for the 2017-2018 season, the network sat on it for almost a year after it didn't make the fall or midseason schedules.

The series stars Shahi as Mara Kint, a former hostage negotiator, expert on human behavior and college professor (impressive!) who is brought back into law enforcement by her boss (Dennis Haysbert) to help rescue people who have been too sucked into a virtual reality program where you can live out your wildest dreams. The series comes from Extant's Mickey Fisher.
