Ohio Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray is coming to Lake County on April 14.
According to the Lake County Democratic Party, Cordray will be discussing his candidacy with Lake County voters at Bricklayers Union Local 16 Hall in Mentor.
The venue is located at 9437 Hamilton Drive, off Heisley Road just north of Jackson Street. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and Cordray is scheduled to speak at 4.
The public is invited to attend to hear from the candidate and ask him questions. Local county and district Democratic candidates will give brief remarks before Cordray speaks.
Cordray served as the director of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2012 to 2017. He has also previously served as Ohio’s Attorney General, Solicitor General and Treasurer.
Cordray is one of six candidates vying for the Democratic nomination in the May 8 primary election. The other candidates are: Larry Ealy, Dennis Kucinich, Paul Ray, Joe Schiavoni and Bill O’Neill.
