LUDHIANA: Bains brothers-led Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) has declared that their party would field candidates in the next Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) elections. They made this announcement in Amritsar where they had organized a political rally on Saturday. During the rally, both the brothers attacked SGPC members, and termed the committee’s move to expel 523 employees as ‘illegal’.

Speaking to TOI, MLA Simarjit Singh Bains said: “The campaign to expand our party’s base in entire Punjab is going on aggressively. We are also gearing up to contest the next SGPC elections. All I can say right now is several prominent panthic leaders are in touch with us, and they are supporting us in this mission.”
