LUDHIANA: A woman has accused three cops from
Salem Tabri police station of illegal detention for whole night, thrashing and molesting her. The woman on Monday has given a complaint to the Commissioner of Police
Sukhchain Singh Gill who has further marked inquiry to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP-North) Lakhveer Singh Tiwana.
The woman also added that when she was brought to the police station no woman officer was present there.
The 35-year-old woman of
Shivpuri area said that she is living separate from her husband following strained relations. She had availed loan of Rs 1.50 lakh from a
Jalandhar based financer and is repaying the money to him in installments. On April 7 when the financer had come to her house to get installment. Meanwhile, her brother-in-law reached there and called police who took her and financer to police station.
The woman further alleged that the police officials misbehaved with her in the police station and kept in illegal custody for whole night. The police officials molested her and thrashed her badly.
In the morning the police freed her and threatened for not sharing the things with anyone. She added that when she came home her brother-in-law thrashed her and her 6-year-old son. Her son has sustained four stitches on her head.

Salem Tabri Vijay Kumar said, "The woman and her brother-in-law had indulged in a spat after which the police reached the spot.
The cop also rubbished the allegations of the woman.
The Commissioner of Police, Sukhchain Singh Gill said, "I have received a complaint today and marked inquiry to ACP."
