Hey isn’t that … “Blackish” star and global bon vivant Jenifer Lewis belting out Broadway tunes at the Darcy hotel on Saturday night?

Yes, that was definitely Lewis sidling up to the piano in the lobby of the downtown hotel, singing Cole Porter’s “Night and Day.” Lewis, who earlier in the evening attended fellow diva Patti LaBelle’s show at the Warner Theatre (and yes, Lewis got on the stage at one point), dined with friends, Fox 5 contributor Paul Wharton and Kevin Durant’s mother, Wanda Durant, at Siren, the Darcy’s restaurant.

Wharton, the District’s own bon vivant, and Lewis had been palling around all evening before Wharton called the hotel ahead of the group’s arrival with a friendly warning: Have a microphone ready! You know, just in case the cabaret vet felt like a tune. (She did.)

After being introduced by Wharton and singing her tune, the actress held court in the restaurant, snapping photos with fans. The next morning, Lewis made her way to Baltimore for a signing event for her book, “The Mother of Black Hollywood.
