Heena Sidhu and Sachin Chaudhary emerged as the medal winners from India on the day with glory finishes in 25m Pistol and Para Weightlifting. Elsewhere, five boxers took the ring in the quarterfinals and all five won their bouts to assure the country of five more medals – it remains to be seen what colour they will be in the end. In Athletics, Hima Das shattered her personal best to qualify for the 400m final and a few minutes later, to close out the day, Muhammed Anas finished a credible fourth in the 400m finals. (CWG 2018 Medal Tally)
