City witnesses sunny morning; rain likely in next two days

Delhiites woke up to a sunny morning, with the minimum temperature settling at 23 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average.

While the maximum temperature recorded was 37 degree Celsius, city people may get relief from scorching heat. According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rains and thunderstorm activities may prevail on Monday evening and Tuesday.

With this there may be sharp decreased in maximum temperature measured on IMD weather index.  In weekly weather forecast, IMD mentioned that maximum temperature may oscillate between 33 degree Celsius and 35 degree Celsius, however, minimum temperature will remain at 27 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile on Sunday, the Met has recorded humidity recorded 62 percent.  “The skies will remain partly cloudy and the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius,” an official said.

On Saturday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature settled at 36.6 degrees Celsius.
