Normal weather conditions across the State witnessed disruption in the past 24 hours after rainfall, thunder lightening and speedy winds have been reported at different places in the State.
State recorded rainfall in the past 24 hours at four divisions providing relief from the scorching heat prevalent for the past 5-6 days.
Among the regions which recorded good amount of rainfall Ashok Nagar recorded the highest rainfall in the past 24 hours at 3 cm and Naugaon recorded 2 cm of rainfall while Khajuraho recorded 1 cm of rainfall.
According to the forecast light showers and thunder showers are likely to be witnessed in Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ujjain and Sagar divisions.
The state has witnessed rainfall and at the same time temperatures continues to move upwards and highest temperature was recorded at 41 degree Celsius at Khargone on Sunday.
The temperatures would be recorded in the range of 38 and 22 degree Celsius in the next 24 hours. Bhopal recorded day temperature at 37.1 degree Celsius.
Met department told that speedy winds and thunder lightning is likely to be witnessed in Betul, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Vidisha and Sheopur while brief light showers and thunder lightening are likely to be witnessed in Rajgarh, Shajapur, Sehore, Bhopal, Sagar, Damoh and Guna.
The regions which recorded higher day temperatures were Khandwa, Ratlam, Shajapur and Hoshangabad which recorded day temperature at 40.1, 39.8,39.5 and 39.2 degree Celsius.
The major cities witnessed moderate temperature on Monday. Indore recorded day temperature at 38 degree Celsius, Gwalior recorded 36.6 degree Celsius and Jabalpur recorded 37.5 degree Celsius.
