The supersonic market is projected to exceed 13 million passengers a year beginning in 2025, according to Boston-based Spike Aerospace. The analysis showed that more than 72 million business and first class airline passengers flew long-haul, nonstop international flights of between 2,000 and 7,000 mi. in 2017. That is expected to grow to more than 128 million by 2025, the same year Spike’s S-512 supersonic jet is scheduled for availability, it said.
