QS Awarded Crescent University an 'Overall 4 Star Rating' for excellence in Education

The World top University Ranking agency has awarded Crescent University, a prestigious "4 Star Rating" in the Overall category. A. Rahman Buhari, Chairman, of the Institute, received the certificate of rating from Ashwin Fernandes, Regional - Middle East, and South Asia, Intelligence Unit, UK. Dr. H. Devaraj, Former Vice Chairman, (UGC) was present. The event took place in the city today.

Very few Universities across the globe have been awarded the 4 Star Rating by Crescent is the fourth in India, to receive an Overall 4 Star Rating. Earlier, JSS Academy of and Research, Mysore; SRM University, Chennai and VIT University, Vellore were given the recognition.

Following the awarding of Stars, briefed on the Star Rating and unveiled the Star results. Prof. Ir. Dr. Sahol Hamid Bin Abu Bakar, addressed the gathering through Dr. M. S. Haji Sheik Mohammed, Registrar; Dr. P.S. Syed Masood Jamali, Dean, and Dr. R. Raja Prabu, (Accreditation, Ranking and International Affairs), of the University were others present.

Out of the 8 parameters considered for evaluation by QS, Crescent has bagged "5 Star Rating" for 4 parameters viz., Teaching; Employability; Facilities and Inclusiveness. The other 4 parameters are Research; Internationalization; Social Responsibility and Program Strength.

The Star Rating Audit Process was initiated during April 2017 and after five rounds of audit process, the Crescent has been awarded an Overall 4 Star Rating.

Earlier, Crescent is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Council) with "A" Grade, 16 + 04 programmes (16 UG and 4 PG) "Accredited by (National Board of Accreditation)" under Tier - I, under Washington Accord and a "Top 100" NIRF Ranking (National Institutional Ranking Framework).
