Women, there are a lot of suits out there for us. Céline’s recently departed Phoebe Philo was a champion. Ditto Calvin Klein’s freshly installed Raf Simons. Then there’s Brunello Cucinelli’s supremely luxurious take, so slouchy it feels like the smartest trackie combo.

There’s also the ubiquitous Balmain jacket. And who can forget Meghan Markle’s star turn in a black Alexander McQueen tuxedo in February (a choice that confirmed her as The Firm’s moderniser, image-wise at least, and perhaps sent out a covert message about the power equation in that relationship)?
