Odisha: Over 36,000 students appear JEE-Mains

BHUBANESWAR:More than 36,000 candidates appeared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Mains 2018 in offline mode conducted in various centres across the State on Sunday.Sources said around 44,488 candidates had registered for JEE-Mains in the State. While 36,499 appeared the exam in offline mode, 7,989 will appear the exam in online mode on April 15 and 16 through 258 centres.

The Paper-I was conducted from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm for the admission into BTech courses while the Paper-II examination was held from 2 pm to 5 pm for admission into B-Arch courses.Examinees were strictly barred from using any watches or any other kind of electronic gadgets, including calculator, metal or jewelry inside the examination hall.

The students were directed to reach their respective centres at least two hours before the start of the examinations. They were allowed with only admit cards and writing instruments.The results for the Paper-I examination will be announced on April 30 and the results for Paper-II will be published on May 31.
