‘Fill teacher posts in government schools’

Andhra Pradesh Vidya Parirakshana Committee on Sunday organised a signature campaign in Srikakulam, asking the government to fill up all 14,494 teachers’ posts in the State to strengthen the education system at grass root level.

Convener of the Committee Sannasetti Rajasekhar alleged that the government had weakened the schools in rural areas by not appointing teachers. He said that the government teachers’ were forced to attend non-teaching activities and that this made the students to opt for private schools.

He urged people to join hands with them for the protection of government education system and oppose domination of private schools.
