Bomber could be in hot water over alleged bite

Essendon defender Conor McKenna is likely to be cited for an alleged bite to the neck of Western Bulldogs forward Tory Dickson in Sunday's clash between the sides at Etihad Stadium.

It's understood Dickson claimed McKenna bit him after the Irishman was run down by the Dog on the wing.

The pair wrestled on the ground after Dickson won a free kick for his tackle.

Dickson is believed to have complained about the treatment when he ran to the bench immediately afterwards.

McKenna will probably be cited for misconduct, and the incident is likely to be sent straight to the tribunal.

Match review officer Michael Christian is sitting today, with his findings for the remainder of round three due to be released on Monday afternoon.

Both clubs have been contacted by Fairfax Media.
