PG NEET revised schedule announced

This move is after Supreme Court invalidated State’s domicile rule

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has come out with the revised information bulletin for centralised counselling for postgraduate admissions to degree/diploma medical and dental courses

The move comes after the Supreme Court had declared the State government’s domicile condition invalid. The domicile rule had restricted postgraduate admissions to medical and dental government colleges and government quota seats to students who had lived in the State for at least 10 years. As per the revised schedule, students can begin their fresh options on April 10. With this, students from outside Karnataka will now be eligible to opt for government and government quota seats.

The Medical Education Department has written to the Union government asking for extension of the deadline to complete admissions as the State goes to polls on May 12. They are, however, yet to get a response from them.
