Delhi: Four killed as fire breaks out in shoe manufacturing unit

NEW DELHI: Four persons were killed when a masive fire broke out at a shoe manufcaturing unit in Sultanpuri on early Monday morning, an official said.
The accident occurred at around 7 AM in the morning when the workers were sleeping in the shoe-manufacturing unit.

10 fire engines were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze, he said.


The workers died due to asphyxiation, the police said.


The rescue operations are still being carried out and emergency services have been roped in.


Delhi police officers said that they've initiated an investigation into the case.
