Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. CTB, +0.52% said Monday that Chief Financial Officer Ginger Jones has decided to retire "later this year," after joining the company about 3 1/2 years ago. The tire maker said it has initiated a search, involving external and internal candidates, for a successor. Jones joined the company as CFO in December 2014 from Plexus Corp. PLXS, +2.10% She said she will focus on serving on the boards of public companies after she retires. Separately, mining and chemicals company Tronox Ltd. TROX, +2.59% said Monday it named Jones to its board of directors. Jones currently serves on the Libbey Inc.'s LBY, +0.17% board. Cooper Tire's stock, which was still inactive in premarket trade, had tumbled 17.8% year to date through Friday, while the S&P 500 SPX, +1.53% had slipped 2.6%.
