President Ram Nath Kovind has congratulated weightlifter Punam Yadav on winning Gold medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. In a tweet, Mr Kovind said, the super performance by Indian weightlifters continues at the Games.
The President also congratulated Shooter Manu Bhaker for winning Gold, Heena Sidhu for bagging a Silver in 10 metre Air Pistol event, and Ravi Kumar has claiming Bronze in the 10 metre Air Rifle event. He said, Indian shooters are bang on target.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Weightlifter Punam Yadav on bagging the Gold Medal in the 69 kg category. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Punam's dedication towards weightlifting is truly admirable.
Congratulating Manu Bhaker and Heena Sidhu for winning Gold and Silver in the Women's 10 metre Air Pistol event, Mr Modi said, Indian shooters are distinguishing themselves at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Congratulating Ravi Kumar who claimed the Bronze in the Men's 10 metre Air Rifle event, Mr Modi said, the young shooter has made rich contribution towards sports and every Indian takes pride in his accomplishment.
