In the three-hour long rally, 'Pashtun Long March to Peshawar,' people chanted 'Azadi' (freedom) slogans.

The rally organised by the (PTM), from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. amassed hundreds of families whose sons, husbands, daughters and mothers were abducted by Army and its intelligence agency, (ISI).

"Today's #PashtunLongMarch2Peshawer jalsa was huge. have told the state and the that all of them are supporting #PashtunTahafuzMovement. People traveled from all over the country to attend it. This caravan for peace will go until the demands are met," one human rights activist, tweeted.

The gathering was part of Pashtun Long March, a protest movement led by young FATA, where they have long been the targets of military operations, internal displacement, ethnic stereotyping and abductions by the security forces.
