LUDHIANA: City mayor Balkar Sandhu is planning to form sub-committees for 95 wards to make
Swachh Bharat Mission a success.
Sandhu, senior deputy mayor Sham Sunder Malhotra and deputy mayor Sarabjit Kaur were honoured by the Youth Congress at circuit house on Sunday.
The Mayor claimed that youngsters have always played vital and strong role in bringing a revolution and for making Swachh Bharat Mission a success they require the support from youth.
Sandhu said youth helped the Congress in the assembly elections as well as municipal polls therefore they should be given more responsibilities.
The youth should become icon of this mission and the youngsters should visit each house of their respective wards to make people aware of the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.
