Held for stealing from shops

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The Vellarada police have arrested a thief on charges of stealing goods after breaking into shops. The arrested is Unni aka Thiruvallam Unni, 45. According to the police, Unni was nabbed by the night patrolling team when he tried to break into a shop at the Arattukuzhi junction at around 4 am. 

Though Unni tried to escape after seeing the police team, he was chased down. Upon interrogation, the accused confessed he had looted goods from various shops in the district for the past six months. He was earlier arrested by the Vellarada police for mixing pesticide in wells at Aryancode and Poozhanad near Vellarada.
