Cape Town - The Crusaders overcame a hostile crowd and unpredictable Jaguares side to ease to victory in their Super Rugby clash in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
The Crusaders won 40-14 after leading 19-0 at half-time.
The Crusaders scored six tries through wings George Bridge (2) and Manasa Mataele (2), flyhalf Mitchell Hunt and centre Ryan Crotty. Hunt was also on target with four conversions, while replacement pivot Mike Delany added a conversion of his own.
The Jaguares replied with tries by fullback Joaquin Tuculet and wing Emiliano Boffelli. Flyhalf Nicolas Sanchez landed both conversions in an otherwise frustrating outing for the home side who struggled to make inroads into the eight-time champions - and maintain their discipline.
The Crusaders picked up a full-house of five points for their victory and ominously moved to the top of the New Zealand Conference and into second on the Overall log.
The Jaguares left empty-handed and remained bottom of the South African Conference and in 13th in the Overall standings.
In next weekend's Round 9 action, the Crusaders have a bye, while the Jaguares travel to Melbourne to play the Rebels (Saturday, April 14 at 07:15 SA time).
