Match of the Day pundit makes Man Utd suggestion after victory over Man City
MANCHESTER UNITED will gain more respect if they play like they did in the second half against Manchester City.
Those are the thoughts of Match of the Day pundit Danny Murphy.
Manchester City missed the opportunity to wrap up the Premier League title after a 3-2 defeat at the Etihad.
City were 2-0 up at half-time, but the visitors hit back with two goals in two minutes from Paul Pogba in the second-half before Chris Smalling headed home the winner to inflict just the second defeat of the league campaign for Pep Guardiola’s men.
United and in particular boss Jose Mourinho, has come under fierce criticism for the tactics he has adopted in the big games.

We do respect their manager and if they play like that more often, we’ll enjoy watching them
And Murphy thinks the second 45 minutes proved United will have more fans if they replicate such displays in the future.
When asked for his thoughts on the game, Murphy said: “I love games that shock me!
“It did shock me. United were 50/1 at half-time to win which tells its own story.

“City were brilliant in the first half. What I loved about Utd in the second half was the freedom they played with and the potential that the team has.
“We do respect their [United’s] players and the manager and if they play like that more often, we’ll enjoy watching them.”
United's win sees them remain in second spot, while City's title celebrations have been delayed.
