Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb is the youngest ever player to play in the IPL at 17 years and 11 days old.
But that did not put off coach Brad Hodge and captain Ravi Ashwin picking him for their opener against Delhi.
Mujeeb was entrusted with bowling the third over of the innings and he trapped Colin Munro LBW off just his third ball.
New Zealand opener Munro attempted a reverse sweep but missed and umpire Rod Tucker had no hesitation.

It’s a carrom ball, he’s got the carrom ball, which I think was the one that got Colin Munro
Former West Indies pace bowler Ian Bishop, who was commentating at the time, was impressed by the start made by the youngster.
“He has struck, he has made his mark,” Bishop said.
“It’s a carrom ball, he’s got the carrom ball, which I think was the one that got Colin Munro.
“He’s got that googly, he messed up Chris Gayle totally in the (World Cup) qualifiers with the googly.

“The off spinner, the leg break, everything. It’s the pace he bowls at as well.”
Ex-Australia batsman Michael Slater questioned the shot by Munro.
Slater said: “He’s started well hasn’t he. He’s gone for one run, he’s got the wicket.
“Again we see the effect of spin. It was an interesting shot from Munro.”
Mujeeb picked up his second wicket in his third over, having Rishabh Pant caught by AJ Tye.
