Police register case against DMK man for insulting CM

Coimbatore: The city police registered a case against DMK joint secretary (media relations) Tamilan Prasanna on Saturday for using derogatory words against chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and municipal administration minister SP Velumani at a public meeting held at Podanur last month. DMK had organised the meeting to explain about the importance of DMK zonal meeting in Kamarajar Nagar Junction on Madukkarai Market Road near Podanur on March 17. Speaking at the meeting, Tamilan Prasanna used derogatory words against Palaniswami and Velumani, police sources said.TNN
