WWE news: Ronda Rousey almost teamed up with THIS legend for WrestleMania 34 mega match
BATISTA was initially considered as a candidate to team up with Ronda Rousey and take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34.
Many top superstars and legends had been linked with that spot, such as Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and Shane McMahon.
It seemed like WWE were more keen to have The Rock filling in the void in order to continue the WrestleMania 31 angle that saw him and Rousey embarrassing McMahon and Triple H.
However, the part went to Kurt Angle who has unfinished business with the power couple.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Batista (real name Dave Bautista) had several discussions with WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H about featuring in the Mixed Tag Team Match.

So, never say never - I’d love to go back
Pro Wrestling Sheet backed the reports claiming the lengthy talks went well and that the ex-WWE Champion was keen on the idea but everything suddenly changed.
WWE were reportedly planning on using that bout to set up a WrestleMania 35 match between Triple H and Batista.
Their last conversation took place in January and then The Animal found out he would not be participating at Mania when Angle announced on RAW that he would be joining forces with Rousey.
Batista, who will feature in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, insists he wants one more run in Vince McMahon’s promotion and turned down a Hall of Fame nomination as he feels like his career is not yet over.

The six-time world champion has also repeatedly expressed his wish to face Triple H again at the Showcase of the Immortals.
The 49-year-old recently said: “I’ve been very vocal about that, you know, never say never, and this is why I haven’t accepted a nomination into the WWE Hall of Fame because I just don’t feel like my career is over.
“I still feel like I have plenty to offer, but now it’s just a scheduling issue and also a creative issue.
“So, never say never - I’d love to go back.”
Batista left the WWE in 2014 after a lacklustre return to the company.
