
3rd Front magic: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao warms up to CPM

HYDERABAD: In a significant development, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is trying to woo various parties to join hands with him to form a Federal Front, has assured that the state government would extend all support to CPM to hold its All India Congress here from April 18 for five days.
CPM politburo member BV Raghavulu and party state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram met the CM at Pragati Bhavan here on Saturday. The duo told Rao that their party’s 22nd national Congress would be held in the city for five days from April 18, in which besides Kerala Chief Minister, former CMs of West Bengal, Tripura and other national leaders will be taking part. Then, the leaders requested for help from the TS government for the proposed conference.
CPM backs CM’s efforts to form a Front
Interestingly, during the meeting, a discussion took place on the current political situation between the Chief Minister and CPI(M) leaders. Rao, explained to Raghavulu and Veerabhadram on the need for bringing in a qualitative change in the national politics. The leaders agreed with CM’s views, a release said.
