A man has been arrested on suspicions of murdering his wife, the Internal Security Forces reported in a statement Sunday.
The woman, was found dead in her home in Beirut’s Basta neighborhood last Monday with multiple stab wounds to her neck, according to the statement. The ISF Information Division officers later apprehended the husband, who had been working in a Lebanese factory. The statement added the husband was carrying a white iPhone belonging to his wife when he was arrested.
The man reportedly confessed to killing his wife, after she told him she wanted to separate from him. Neither of them were named in the statement.
The ISF said it also arrested another man, identified as M.F., for alleged links to the murder.
