Jose Blanco has been appointed by Europcar as UK sales and marketing director.
Nick Harwood has been promoted to sales director, key partners, for Europcar Group and Jose will be taking over the role from him.
Blanco holds an extensive travel sector experience and intends to drive an ambitious programme to respond to the existing challenges of the UK marketplace. He will be focusing on both business and leisure travelers.
Blanco mentioned that the UK marketplace is experience a number of challenges which will gradually make it an exciting place to work with.
He believes that there will be many opportunities for Europcar catering to cost-effective and convenient mobility solutions to both the business and leisure travelers in the UK.
He was excited to join the Europcar team, he was the most recently the vice –president, commercial and chief commercial officer of Pullamantur Cruises.
Having spent more than five years as the sales and marketing director in Spain he has a vast knowledge of the Europcar Group and the broader mobility marketplace.
Gary Smith, managing director, Europcar UK Group was happy to have Jose on board as he comes with a wealth of experience and proven success in the vehicle rental sector.
