‘Succeed through hard yet smart work’

Working smart, and not just hard, will take you to greater heights, Kakatiya University registrar K. Purushotham told management students as their mega two-day event, Synergy Mad Show 2018, drew to a close late on Saturday evening. He was the chief guest at the valedictory session.

Around 1,000 students took part in an array of events organised on campus, testing their managerial and creative skills.

Students from state universities should not feel inferior to their counterparts in corporate colleges and national institutes, the registrar said, citing examples of CEOs of international companies who studied at state universities.

Other guests also had a word of advice for the students.

Alumni president and head of operations at Aga Khan Academy, David Samroy advised students to be brutally honest in their career dealings and maintain ethical values.

Director of National Small Industries Corporation, Geetha Goti stressed on the need for more women entrepreneurs.

Awards and certificates were presented to the winners of the various events. Nada Saman of Vaagdevi College won the Young Manager Award while Ramya Varalaxmi of KITS, Warangal, bagged the Women Entrepreneur Award.

Commerce and business management dean Kamaleshwar Rao Suryadevara, faculty advisor, principal and dean V.V.S. Sarma and College Development Council dean Ch. Rajesham were among the guests at the valedictory session. TVS Narayana Rao, Manager, SBI, Renovision president Alex Moses and other were present.
