Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp hopes Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah will recover in time for the crucial Champions League match against Manchester City on Tuesday.
Salah sustained a groin injury last Wednesday during the quarter finals first leg and was left out of the squad that played Everton on Saturday.
"Mo, he's injured. I don't think it is really serious and he can be available for Tuesday, but for today he wasn't available," the German tactician told the club's official website minutes before the Everton game.
The 25-year-old Salah – who has been in blistering form since the beginning of the season – scored a goal and assisted another in the Reds’ 3-0 victory against City.
Liverpool will be hoping to protect their home lead at the Etihad Stadium next Tuesday in order to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in a decade.
