Heat wave to continue for three more days in Andhra Pradesh

VIJAYAWADA: Dry weather conditions continued across coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema region on Friday.Though isolated places in north coastal AP received mild showers due to the active trough over Arabian sea, the weather turned hotter on Friday.

Anantapur district registered highest temperature of 41 degree Celsius. The Indian Meteorological Department predicted that the State might witness hot climatic conditions with moderate heat waves for the next 3-4 days.Both the day and night temperatures may touch 43 degree Celsius in the coming four days.

The Rayalaseema and south coastal districts like Krishna Guntur regions are experiencing dry weather and hot climatic conditions. The day temperatures in Rayalaseema region and Krishna, Guntur districts touched a maximum of 41 degree Celsius.

IMD, Hyderabad, director YK Reddy said, “The heat wave conditions will now intensify as the trough gets dispersed. With these climatic conditions, there will also some moderate heat waves in the Rayalaseema region and some places may experience lightning strikes.”As the trough over arabian sea just got dispersed, the north coastal districts are experiencing humid conditions and the temperatures are going up.
