The BJP leaders eagerly waiting for distribution of positions in the Government will now have to wait till end of the elections of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). An indication regarding this was given by the State President of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Ajay Bhatt while interacting with media persons at party office on Friday. He said that there appears no chance of distribution of positions in the Government till the elections of ULBs. The Statement of the State BJP president assumes significance as BJP leaders and workers are waiting anxiously for the Trivendra Singh Rawat Government to distribute positions.
Refuting the charge of the State congress that wary of defeat ,the BJP is shying away from the elections of ULBs, Bhatt said that the party is ready for the polls. He said that the party would announce candidates within one or two days of declaration of election schedule by the State Election Commission, Bhatt added that the party has made a list of probable candidates in all ULBs. “ We have the lists which includes candidates of all categories of reservations, Our party believes that every worker has right to contest the elections but once the party declares the names of the candidates everyone unites behind the official candidate and ensures his victory,’’ he said. The State BJP President added that there is no conflict between the State Election Commission and the State Government.
Earlier in the day, the BJP State president participated in a programme organised at State party office to mark the 39th foundation day of BJP. Congratulating the party workers on the occasion, Bhatt said that the party made a very humble beginning 38 years ago on April 6, 1980 and with sheer dedication and hard work the party has now become the largest political party in the world. He said that the party workers believe in ideology of Nation First, Party second and Self last. Bhatt said that the party ardently follows the philosophy of 'Integral humanism' propounded by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. The State party President remembered the roles played by leaders such as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee in shaping the ideology of the party. Bhatt said that the party under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President Amit Shah is now the largest party of the world with more than 11 crore members.
Praising the Government of Trivendra Singh Rawat in State, Bhatt said that in last one year the State has marched forward on the path of development. He added that State Government has adopted a zero tolerance policy on corruption and in last one year the Government has many achievements to its credit. Blaming the previous Congress Government in the State for stalling development the BJP leader said that the Trivendra Singh Rawat Government has reversed the trend and brought State on path of rapid growth.The State Finance Minister Prakash Pant and large number of BJP leaders and workers were present on the occasion.
