Blitzboks down England, power to quarters

Cape Town - The Springbok Sevens team have advanced through to the quarter-finals after beating England in their final Pool C encounter at the Hong Kong Sevens on Saturday.

The Blitzboks, who led 14-10 at the break, won 33-15.

Springbok Sevens stand-in coach Marius Schoeman's side ran in five tries against the young England team, who failed to reach the Cup quarter-finals.

This is a second-string South African team, with the first-choice side on Commonwealth Games duty on Australia's Gold Coast.

Earlier in the day, the Blitzboks cruised to a 31-17 victory over Scotland and romped to a a 45-0 win over South Korea on Friday.

South Africa and Scotland have advanced through to the Cup quarter-finals.
