SBI MD donates to arushi society
Bhopal: SBI Managing Director Dinesh Kumar Khara donated an amount of Rs 8.99 lakh to Arushi Society, Bhopal. Bank has donated this amount for purchase of a Toofan Force vehicle to be used for operation of its philanthropic activities. Khara flagged of the vehicle.Speaking on the occasion Khara, said that Corporate Social Responsibility activities of the Bank touch the lives of millions of poor and needy across the length and breadth of the country.The focus area of Banks CSR activities are aimed at supporting education, supporting health care, assistance to poor and underprivileged, environment protection, livelihood creation and assistance during natural calamities like floods/droughts etc campaign, said Khara. Khara said that the vehicle donated by SBI would be helpful to the society for carrying out its philanthropic activities. Also present on the occasion were SBI Chief General Manager KT Ajit, Ravinandan Sahay (CGM, Corporate Centre Mumbai), General Managers Ashwani Shukla, Kaushik Sinha and CS Powar along with other DGMs and senior bank officials.

Approval for auction of radio channels
Bhopal: Centre has granted approval for auction of 683 FM Radio channels of 236 cities of the country. This includes 58 channels of 19 cities of Madhya Pradesh. The third phase of auction will benefit those cities which do not have their own FM Radio channel.Out of 19 cities in the state four channels of Sagar three channels each in Burhanpur, Chhatarpur, Chhindwada, Damoh, Guna, Itarsi, Khandwa, Khargone, Mandsaur, Murwara (Katni), Neemuch, Ratlam, Rewa, Satna, Shivpuri, Singrauli, Vidisha and Ujjain will be auctioned.Interested entrepreneurs may contact Shri Yogendra Trehan, Deputy Director on 011-23384547 or e-mail at y.trihan@nic.in.
Culture department declares awards
Bhopal: The Department of Culture has declared 6 Akhil Bharatiya and 13 regional awards in the year 2017-18 for distinction in Urdu literature, journalism, research, criticism, sarcasm and Urdu drama. The Department has introduced a new Akhil Bharatiya award in the name of well-known artist of the state “Ibrahim Yusuf” from this year. A sum of Rs 51,000 in Akhil Bharatiya/award and Rs 31,000 in Pradeshik Samman/award will be given.Giving this information Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Surendra Patwa said that in the Sammans established by the Urdu Academy last year 2016-17, have been started after two women litterateurs Nawab Shahjehan Begum and Surjakala Sahay Sarwar. Patwa told that except Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy, various Urdu academies of the country do not have women litterateur and drama related Samman/award.
