Masters weather: MAJOR update on storm for Saturday at Augusta
THE MASTERS could take a turn for the worst on Saturday with rain forecast for the entire day.

The first major of the year being in Spring often means glorious sunshine down in Georgia for the picturesque course at Augusta.
And the opening two rounds of the Masters have been perfect weather conditions for playing golf with light winds and mostly sunny skies.
The 87-strong field will be cut in half this evening heading into the weekend.
But whoever does make it through to Saturday will have to contend with some weather warnings that could cause some delays.

Saturday morning will will see a cold front move in that will bring heavy clouds throughout the afternoon.
The first tee-off time is scheduled for 10am (ET) but heavy rain is scheduled and that could result in a pause in play.
Some weather forecasters are even predicting the possibility of lightning as thunderstorms are likely to form.

There hasn’t been an entire Masters round cancelled since 1983, when the tournament ran into Monday.
The PGA will likely force play through some rain but lightning could mean a long delay.
Forecasters expect a much better day weather-wise on Sunday with mostly sunny skies.
